Tierney Whelan, a licensed school psychologist, performs psychoeducational evaluations for BrightSpark on a part-time basis. In her full-time role with Chesterfield County Public Schools, she offers psychological assessments, consultations, and counseling to students across various age groups.  

Raised in Richmond, Tierney studied at Virginia Tech before spending a year with AmeriCorps in Chicago, developing health and leadership programs. She earned her M.Ed in school psychology and M.A. in educational psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her dog, Magic, and exploring Richmond's dining and entertainment scene.
