Dr. Flansburg (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides assessment, therapy and consultation services. She utilizes evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help individuals and families achieve higher levels of functioning. Dr. Flansburg combines various approaches to develop a treatment plan tailored to the needs of each individual, family or couple. 

Dr. Flansburg has expertise in the assessment of ADHD and learning difficulties in children and adolescents (ages 6 and older). She conducts comprehensive evaluations designed to identify a student’s unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses and utilizes results to guide parents in how to best support their child.

In addition to evaluation services, Dr. Flansburg offers parenting consults to assist parents in learning ways to help their children succeed. She specializes in working with parents of young children on issues related to sleeping, eating and toileting. She also provides guidance for parents of children who are experiencing behavioral difficulties. Dr. Flansburg is a certified Family Sleep Institute pediatric sleep consultant.

Dr. Flansburg earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She obtained her PhD in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver. Dr. Flansburg completed a pre-doctoral internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School with a focus on pediatric psychology at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
